ATLANT 3D announced on August 17, 2026, the launch of NANOFABRICATOR® PRO, which is the first and only physical platform for AI-driven materials discovery in the world. The platform links AI-enabled materials discovery with programmable atomic-scale fabrication and experimental validation, as well as device prototyping, so as to speed the move from design to manufacturable materials as well as devices.
While AI is revolutionizing materials discovery, a major challenge is still how to validate predictions made by AI. Traditional workflows divide design, fabrication, characterization as well as manufacturing, into distinct processes, which slows breakthroughs and limits the shift from digital discoveries to real-world technologies.
NANOFABRICATOR® PRO is fuelled by the proprietary Direct Atomic Layer Processing – DALP® technology of ATLANT 3D, the core of the Physical AI Infrastructure for Matter, as well as ATLANT 3D’s A-HUB Autonomous Materials Foundry, which combines AI-driven materials discovery, atomic-scale manufacturing, and rapid validation when it comes to semiconductors, quantum technologies, and advanced packaging, along with emerging applications.
It is well to be noted that this physical platform for AI-driven materials is a SEMI-compliant platform for advanced semiconductor manufacturing industrialized with Automated Industrial Robotics – AIR. Apparently, AIR builds the platform in the U.S., which allows for scalable manufacturing, makes it possible for ATLANT 3D to grow in the U.S., and provides a manufacturing-ready system.
Basically, AI is altering how new materials are discovered. The next step is to turn discoveries into real-world innovations.
According to the CEO and Founder of ATLANT 3D, Dr. Maksym Plakhotnyuk, “AI is fundamentally changing how new materials are discovered. The next frontier is turning those discoveries into real-world innovations. Together with AIR, we introduce NANOFABRICATOR® PRO, which enables the creation of next-gen self-driven platforms with integrated metrology. By connecting AI-driven materials discovery, advanced manufacturing, and experimental validation, we enable rapid translation of computational predictions into functional materials while laying the foundation for the Physical AI Infrastructure for Matter.”
Says President of Automated Industrial Robotics Silicon Valley, Bob Fung, “Industrializing breakthrough technologies requires advanced expertise in reliable and scalable platforms. Our partnership combines advanced engineering with U.S. manufacturing capabilities to deliver NANOFABRICATOR® PRO platform to enable the next frontiers for future industries.”
The next frontier for ATLANT 3D is to introduce self-driving platform features based on NANOFABRICATOR® PRO with integrated metrology and additional processing solutions. The company seeks to collaborate with strategic companies in advanced technologies in order to grow and expand the next generation of physical AI.
