Siemens on August 7, 2026, announced a combined investment of $200m in new U.S. manufacturing facilities located at Pendergrass, Georgia, as well as Grand Prairie, Texas, that will grow the country’s electrical infrastructure manufacturing footprint and generate over 1,500 jobs. The announcement builds on its recently achieved milestone of over $1 billion committed to U.S. manufacturing in the last 5 years. More than $185 million of this investment will be used to construct an additional 550,000-square-foot manufacturing plant in Pendergrass, Georgia. The facility will manufacture critical low-voltage electrical infrastructure products as well as systems for the data center market, thereby supporting America’s advancements in AI infrastructure and cloud computing.
According to Governor Brian P. Kemp, “For 140 years, Siemens has been a valued part of Georgia’s business community, and this latest investment decision is another testament to the strong economic partnership between our state and Germany. We are proud to support this next chapter of growth and look forward to the impact of these quality jobs on the Pendergrass community and the surrounding area.”
At the same time, the company is also constructing a $19 million facility located in Grand Prairie, Texas, that will boost the capacity of its local flagship switchgear factory to better serve the needs of the semiconductor, automotive, healthcare, and various other industrial and infrastructure markets that need critical power. The 96,000-square-foot site will serve as an exclusive space for the electrical products business of Siemens in terms of factory acceptance testing and warehousing.

With $200m in new U.S. manufacturing facilities, they will be creating high-quality, lucrative jobs that don’t require four-year degrees. They include positions in fabrication, assembly, material handling, and testing, as well as engineering, with hiring starting at the Grand Prairie site in late 2026 and the Pendergrass location in 2027.
The business-friendly environment of Georgia, along with Pendergrass’ close proximity to the existing electrical manufacturing footprint of Siemens in South Carolina, provides a regional supply chain benefit. The robust ecosystem of workers, closeness to current Siemens plants, and accessibility to assisting technicians and suppliers in the region will enable the facilities to ramp up production swiftly.

Building these facilities strengthens our ability to serve customers more efficiently while expanding advanced manufacturing capacity in a region that is already home to many of the technicians, suppliers, and industry expertise that support our business.”
Both sites will be 100% electrified from the outset, reflecting the commitment by Siemens to accomplish net-zero carbon operations by 2030. The Pendergrass facility will incorporate electric paint lines along with cutting-edge energy management systems, setting a new standard in terms of energy-efficient manufacturing.
Grand Prairie’s site is improving its production with the Digital Industries software from Siemens. Siemens Technomatix 3D models are utilized to replicate production lines for new layouts and logistics as well as workstation planning.
The investments continue to show the broader support for bolstering American manufacturing and infrastructure by Siemens.
