Industrie De Nora S.p.A., which is an Italian multinational company listed on Euronext Milan, specialized in electrochemistry and water treatment systems as well as sustainable solutions, reports to have obtained from the joint venture thyssenkrupp nucera AG & Co. KGaA, the final tranche of orders for Moeve green hydrogen project located in Andalusia, Spain, which is committed to the production of green hydrogen.

The receipt of the final tranche of orders for Moeve green hydrogen project which was announced on July 6, 2026, fulfills the orders that were received in May 2026 and already disclosed to the market with respect to De Nora’s extent of supply for the project. The supply consists of electrolytic cells having high-performance anodic as well as cathodic coatings for an overall capacity of 300 MW with a value amounting to 30 and 40 million euro.

The technologies of De Nora will be utilized in the initial stage of the project, known as Onuba, inside the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley by Moeve, which is intended to be the largest alkaline water electrolysis – Water Electrolysis – AWE project when it comes to green hydrogen production in Southern Europe.

Once it is operational, the plant will be equipped to produce approximately 45,000 tonnes of hydrogen annually and will assist in reducing CO2 emissions by around 250,000 tonnes every year.

De Nora Chief Executive Officer, Paolo Dellachà said that “The involvement in the Moeve initiative, which is set to become the largest green hydrogen project in Southern Europe, reinforces our position as a technology partner of choice for the most ambitious energy transition projects. Growing demand for reliable and efficient green hydrogen solutions underscores the increasingly central role of electrolysis in supporting the decarbonization of industrial processes on a global scale.”
