Detpak, the global packaging supplier, has announced the opening of a new manufacturing facility in South Carolina at Spartanburg, which the company claims will enhance its manufacturing standards and be able to assist customers within the North American market via locally produced paper-based packaging.

This new manufacturing facility in South Carolina will provide improved operational flexibility for major quick service restaurant – QSR customers by way of manufacturing products nearer to the market, improving supply chain consistency while minimizing lead times, said Detpak.

It is well to be noted that Detpak provides paper-based packaging to QSR, foodservice, and Fast Moving Consumer Goods – FMCG as well as retail customers such as global brands like McDonald’s, KFC, and Starbucks as well as Wendy’s in several global markets, including the United States. The company said it offers products in 45 countries and now has production facilities in eight countries.

The Spartanburg facility is a key milestone in Detpak’s global expansion strategy and demonstrates their long-term dedication to the North American market, where they have served customers from their international manufacturing operations for over 20 years.

According to the CEO of Detpak, Sascha Detmold Cox, “As we continue to grow our global footprint, opening our own manufacturing facility in the United States is a key milestone for our business. “It allows us to better support our customers with locally manufactured products and reinforces our commitment to the US market, where we have been supplying customers from our international plants for over 20 years.”

Detmold Cox further added that they are committed to long-term relationships and will continue to provide their customers with the same level of service, innovation, and dependability that they have throughout their global operations.

The manufacturing facility happens to be a multi-million dollar facility that is at present undergoing equipment installation and is 16,300 square meters in size. Complete production is set to start in August 2026, Detpak said.

The company also said the site at first will hire over 50 people from the local community.
