The Advanced American Clean Energy Company – AACE has revealed plans for a substantial technological enhancement of its high-tech solar PV module manufacturing plant in Oman at Salalah Free Zone in order so as to keep up tempo with the rapid advances in technology within the global solar industry.
According to one of the senior executives, Advanced American Clean Energy Company integrates American engineering standards along with advanced European automation so as to make high-efficiency solar modules. The company has a production capacity of 300 MW annually and is at present creating high efficiency PERC technology. These advanced solar panels improve energy output by absorbing more light and losing fewer electrons, which results in greater efficiency than traditional solar cells.
According to the chief operating officer at Advanced American Clean Energy Company, Khalel Khanshali, “As part of our technology roadmap, AACE is actively preparing to transition towards TOPCon technology by the end of 2026, further enhancing module efficiency and performance. In parallel, we are investing in next-generation innovations such as back-contact and busbarless designs to remain aligned with global industry advancements.”
TOPSCon technology combines a tunnel oxide along with a passivated rear contact to minimise energy loss and maximise power output for more efficient solar cells. Back-contact designs, meanwhile, move electrical connections to the back of the cell to optimise light absorption and enhance performance, while busbarless designs optimise electrical current collection by decreasing conventional resistance and shading. Taken together, these innovations have the potential to power the next generation of high-efficiency solar PV modules.
AACE’s operations are based upon three core technological pillars to ensure Tier-1 quality standards. These include advanced Italian automation systems that are supplied by Ecoprogetti Srl, the Italian manufacturer for precision manufacturing and elevated reliability, high efficiency half-cut PERC solar cell technology for enhanced energy output and heat performance and strict American engineering and quality control standards which happen to be backed by globally recognised certifications in terms of safety and durability as well as bankability.
According to Khanshali, “By combining American expertise, European manufacturing technology and Oman’s strategic location, AACE delivers a globally competitive and reliable solar product.”
Today’s product portfolio includes two high-performance photovoltaic modules – 120 Half-Cut Cell Module, which is rated at 455W, and the 144 Half-Cut Cell Module, which is rated at 545W, both designed to meet a broad spectrum of utility-scale as well as commercial solar project requirements.
The domestic renewable energy sector of Oman also offers AACE a chance to capitalise, in addition to its fundamental focus on internationally orientated manufacturing and export.
