With the launch of the new F-series at this year’s IFFA, SEALPAC is presenting a
completely redesigned thermoformer that sets an entirely new precedent in this
segment of packaging. The pioneering machine series is the result of many years
of solid R&D, making it a new starting point for the future. In short: the F-series
takes thermoforming seriously.
The SEALPAC F-series is based on decades of expertise, investigation, and finetuning
by the German packaging experts. Designed from the ground up, this thermoformer
series stands for maximum flexibility, outstanding processing, and intuitive operation.
Representing the entire series, a SEALPAC F6 thermoformer will be shown to the expert
audience at IFFA 2025 for the very first time.
Thermoformers that think for themselves
The new F-series is based on an intelligent concept that goes far beyond conventional
market standards. The machines were developed as self-thinking thermoformers that
continuously analyse their own processes. They automatically regulate energy
consumption, detect maintenance needs, and optimize their performance algorithmically
via the iMode system. Functions such as automatic film alignment and automatic chain
tension correction ensure maximum process reliability and minimize the need for manual
intervention.
Revolutionary design, easy tool change
The forming, sealing, and cutting stations of the F-series thermoformer are equipped
with smart features that not only ensure reliable processes, but also enable extremely
fast format changes. The servo-controlled film transport and lifting systems guarantee
high-quality packaging results. Innovative tool change systems minimize downtime and
significantly simplify the transition to new formats or materials. In terms of hygiene and
accessibility for maintenance and service, the design of the F-series also meets the high
standards that users recognize from SEALPAC’s traysealers. Overall, the new F-series
thermoformers are characterized by their low-maintenance design and exceptional
durability.
Energy efficient and ease to use
When designing the F-series, energy efficiency was a top priority. Now, intelligent heat
recovery and optimized heating and cooling processes significantly reduce energy
consumption, without compromising on quality or output. Combined with precise
process monitoring, each thermoformer enables predictive maintenance and minimizes
unplanned downtime. Ease of use has also been redefined: a modern touch-screen
interface, combined with Industry 4.0-capable control software, enables accurate and
simple machine operation. Furthermore, the F-series thermoformers can be easily
integrated into digitalized production environments via standardized interfaces. This
allows for maximum control and traceability.
Flexible selection of packaging solutions
The F-series thermoformer is designed to handle modern, recyclable, mono-materials
without issues. This also includes contemporary opening aids, such as the innovative
EasyPeelPoint system. With this SEALPAC solution, the top film is pressed into a
round cavity and thus released from the sealing edge. As counterforce can be dosed
accurately, the peel function is activated to perfection. The system convinces due to its
self-explanatory function with natural feel: the peel corner can easily be gripped, after
which the top film is removed from the pack with minimum effort. Moreover, the system
is less subjective to cold sealing, which regularly occurs in the cutting area.
