QUANTRON And HyperView Partner to Set Up QUANTRON China

QUANTRON and HyperView have agreed to set up QUANTRON China, a new Sino-European technology and industrial platform for the global rollout of zero-emission commercial vehicles of the next generation. The joint venture merges QUANTRON’s German engineering expertise, industrial quality standards, integration of zero-emission vehicles, and international market access with HyperView’s technology and engineering capabilities in the fields of autonomous driving, intelligent vehicle systems, and its industrial ecosystem in China.

Foxconn will be the industrial manufacturing partner for the truck and bus platforms and will also provide the manufacturing capabilities required for the international launch. QUANTRON China will be a strategic bridge between China’s industrial size and global emission-free transport markets – with the Chinese home market as a market of choice and concurrently as a technological and industrial foundation for QUANTRON’s international expansion.

The link between China, Europe and the Middle East

Says Andreas Haller, CEO of the Haller Group and founder of QUANTRON, “The future of the commercial vehicle industry is not only determined by individual vehicles but also by scalable platforms, strong industrial partnerships, and integrated customer solutions. With QUANTRON China, we are creating a bridge between China, Europe, and the Middle East. We are developing our products specifically for the Chinese market while using the same platform to expand internationally. Our goal is to make zero-emission commercial vehicle mobility faster, more economical, and more scalable worldwide.”

Demonstrated experience on both sides

HyperView has already delivered high triple-digit numbers of commercial vehicles running on hydrogen, especially in China. The first cars are already running in Saudi Arabia. The company is recognized for its work on intelligent vehicle architectures, next-generation autonomous driving, and commercial vehicle technologies.

QUANTRON has already ordered three-digit numbers of zero-emission vehicles and systems and has customer operations and projects in Europe and the Middle East. Together with a local partner, another QUANTRON vehicle powered by hydrogen has been delivered in Brazil. The experience from the real vehicle application now feeds directly into the next generation of the platform.

Gen2 platform as a foundation for growth

The cooperation will be concentrated on the new QUANTRON Gen2 commercial vehicle platform. QUANTRON leverages its own engineering and technology developments of recent years with HyperView’s expertise in autonomous driving, digital intelligence, and intelligent vehicle architecture.

Gen2 is being developed as a next generation of vehicles for battery electric and hydrogen powered trucks and buses. The platform will unite a new generation of cabins, advanced aerodynamics, smart connectivity, digital fleet capabilities, and the technological basis for future autonomous driving capabilities. A Gen2 vehicle will be presented to the public for the first time in the first half of 2027.

First 100 vehicles for Europe by end of 2026

Already ahead of the world premiere of Gen2, the partners plan to put the first 100 vehicles into operation at European customers by the end of 2026. They are intended to be a validation fleet and technological bridge for Gen2 operating in the real world. Operating data, client feedback, energy consumption, availability, and performance insights will directly feed into the final development and validation of the new platform.

Adds Andreas Haller, “The first 100 vehicles show that this is not a vision for the distant future. They are going into real customer use later this year. What we learn from them flows directly into Gen2. The first vehicles are not the target – they are the starting point.”

Foxconn Assembly : German quality, Chinese scaling

The strategy includes a key part being the industrial scalability. Foxconn will add industrial manufacturing expertise to the truck and bus platforms. This allows QUANTRON China to integrate German engineering and industrial quality standards with scalable international SKD manufacturing and an industrialized supply chain as well as competitive production costs.

Great market potential in Europe

The construction industry is booming in Europe, which is in a critical period. The EU’s CO2 requirements for heavy-duty vehicles require average emissions of new heavy-duty vehicles to be reduced by 45 percent from the respective applicable reference values from 2030, 65 percent from 2035, and 90 percent from 2040. The shift represents a sizable addressable market for zero-emission transportation given the hundreds of thousands of heavy commercial vehicles that enter the European market annually.

Quantron-as-a-Service: Global scaling without green premium

Quantron-as-a-Service – QaaS is a central pillar of the platform. The platform’s vehicles are offered as QaaS and not as a classic pure vehicle sale. The model combines the vehicle with financing, service, maintenance, availability guarantee, digital fleet management and – depending on the market and application – energy solutions.

The model is designed to lower the traditionally high upfront investment needed to transition to zero-emission vehicles and allow customers to switch based on predictable operating costs. From day one, the total cost of ownership of its QaaS offering will be lower than that of a comparable diesel vehicle, QUANTRON promises. This provides fleet operators with direct economic planning security and simultaneously enables them to substantially reduce the CO2 emissions of their fleet.

Andreas Haller also says, “Our customers should not have to choose between decarbonization and profitability. We guarantee that our solution will offer a lower total cost of ownership than diesel from the beginning. This is not a goal for the future. It is our promise today.”

QUANTRON and HyperView have the same vision

According to Dr. Feilong Liu, founder and CEO of HyperView, “The future of mobility will be shaped by combining intelligent vehicles, autonomous driving, and zero-emission drive systems. QUANTRON and HyperView share the same vision and entrepreneurial mindset. HyperView brings its technological and engineering expertise in autonomous driving and intelligent vehicles, while QUANTRON contributes German engineering skills, experience with zero-emission vehicles and international market access. Together we build a platform with true global scalability.”

Ultimate goal

Shaoxing wants to build a new international hub for zero-emission commercial vehicle mobility and intelligent vehicle technologies as well as future solutions for autonomous transport with QUANTRON China. The partners plan to build an ecosystem that can support more than 100,000 zero-emission commercial vehicles globally over the next decade.

QUANTRON China combines the power of German engineering, autonomous intelligence, Chinese industrial scale, Foxconn manufacturing expertise, and the Quantron-as-a-Service business model into a global platform. The company will lead the next era of zero-emission commercial vehicle transportation.
