Eaton to Build Advanced Manufacturing Plant in Arkansas

Power management company Eaton on September 2, 2026, stated that it is preparing to build an advanced manufacturing plant in Arkansas at North Little Rock.

This over $242 million plant will generate 1,200 new jobs in manufacturing and electrical as well as operations and will offer training when it comes to technical skills.

Eaton will build custom electrical enclosures as far as its Fibrebond business is concerned in North Little Rock so as to meet increased demand from the data center, utility, industrial, and digital communications industries.

This advanced manufacturing plant in Arkansas is expected to enable the company to double its U.S. manufacturing capacity for electrical enclosures. Eaton bought Fibrebond of Minden, La., in a deal valued at $1.4 billion in April 2025.

According to Mike Yelton, president of the Electrical Sector, Americas, Eaton, “Customers are looking for ways to deploy critical power infrastructure faster, with greater certainty and less complexity. This investment expands our ability to deliver custom modular electrical enclosures while strengthening our U.S. manufacturing capacity and skilled workforce.”

The investment will assist in supporting customers in speed and scale as well as expertise in order to meet rising demand, Yelton added.

Eaton is going to be hiring for a variety of roles at the 1 million-square-foot facility. The company will provide on-the-job training and opportunities for career advancement to allow employees to improve their technical skills for higher-skilled positions.

This project was a collaboration of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission and the City of North Little Rock along with the Metro Little Rock Alliance led by the Little Rock Regional Chamber.

After a highly competitive site search, Eaton chose North Little Rock, said the executive director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, Clint O’Neal.

Apparently, Eaton is at present looking for a plant manager, environmental and health safety manager, operational excellence manager, plant finance manager, and facilities and maintenance manager.

Eaton has been making investments heavily in its U.S. manufacturing capabilities in recent months. Eaton said in April 2026 that it will invest over $30 million to boost U.S. manufacturing when it comes to its medium-voltage switchgear in Nebraska.

The company also plans to build a new manufacturing campus in Virginia for critical power distribution technologies that will enable them to meet record demand from data center customers.

Eaton, which was founded in 1911, had 2025 revenues of $27.4 billion and caters to customers across 180 countries.
